Hier möchte ich euch noch das angezogene Knuddeltigershirt zeigen. Mein Mann hat es, im Urlaub, sehr oft getragen.

Und mir gefällt es immer noch total gut. Nun will unsere Zaubermaus aber auch unbedingt so ein Shirt...

And I still love the shirt so much. Now, our daughter wants to have the same shirt too...

Für meinen Mann habe ich ein Shirt genäht. Die Idee dazu spukt mir schon lange im Kopf herum und nun ist sie Wirklichkeit geworden... Der zugrunde liegende Schnitt ist von Ottobre 04/2005, Modell 38.

For my husband I sewed a new shirt. The idea haunted me for a long time and now is has become reality... The pattern is from Ottobre magazin 2005 - 04, model 38

Da ich das Shirt nicht zur Anprobe geben konnte (es sollte ja eine Überraschung sein!) habe ich alle Foren nach dem Schnitt durchsucht. Scheinbar wird er nicht arg viel genäht. Nach dem Kopieren dachte ich mir, dass der Halsausschnitt ein wenig gross ist. Der Vergleich mit einem passenden Shirt bestätigte meine Vermutung. Also habe ich ihn um die Hälfte entschärft - am Vorderteil. Nach dem Zuschneiden habe ich ein wenig getüddelt. Auch Männer mögen spezielle Kleidung! Vor allem meiner!!

I couldn't give the shirt for a fitting, because it was meant as a surprise for my husband. Also I read anything that I could find on the Internet. Apparently it isn't an all too popular pattern. After I copied it I was thinking that the neck decolletage was a bit wide. The comparison with a fit shirt confirmed my guess. I reduced it by about 50% on the front pattern piece. After cutting I embllished the front and back. Men like special clothes too! Especially my husband!!

Als erstes habe ich einen 1 cm breite Streifen (1.), aus dem gleichen Stoff wie das Shirt zugeschnitten. Diesen habe ich mit Hilfe einer Kreidelinie gerade auf dem Shirt angebracht. Sie verlaufen von oben nach unten und von rechts nach links - an der rechten Schulter.

I cut a one cm strap (1) and sewed it to the front. With the aid of a ruler and chalk, so that they are straight. They run from right to left and from up to down - on the right shoulder.

Danach habe ich im Internet eine "tribal cat" gesucht und diese hier gefungen. Damit habe ich eine Schablone gemacht und die Katze mit weisser Stofffarbe auf das Vorderteil gemalt (2.). Danach noch die Initialen (3.) von meinem Mann und einen Schriftzug gemalt.

With it I created a template. With this template and white fabric coulor I painted the cat on the front (2) The initials of my husband and a lettering added to the front (3).

Jede Katze, auch die grösste Schmusekatze, ist ab und zu mal wild... und hinterlässt Kratzspuren (3.). Ich habe die Kratzspuren mit einem roten Stift vorgezeichnet, einen weissen Jersey unterlegt und den Farbspuren nachgenäht. Danach mit einer spitzen kleinen Schere den Stoff rausgeschnitten. Sieht doch schon mal richtig gut aus? Nach dem Trocknen wird die Farbe nach Empfehlung des Herstellers mit dem Bügeleisen fixiert.

(3). I painted them with a red crayon, underlayed them with a white jersey and sewed along the lines. Then I cut the black fabric with a small, sharp scissors. After drying I fixed the colour with a pressing iron - according to the maker's instructions.

Nun wird das Shirt normal weiter verarbeitet. Die Schulternähte (4.) werden zusammen genäht und danach die Ärmel (5.) eingesetzt. Ich klappe die Schulternaht immer in das Rückenteil. Bitte auf die Passzeichen achten. Danach habe ich einen sechs cm breite Streifen aus dem weissen Jersey zugeschnitten (6.).

Now the shirt is processed as usual. The shoulder seams (4) are sewn together and the sleeves are applied (5). Please look on the character ensured. Then I cut a six cm wide strip of the white jersey (6).

Diese Streifen werden längs gefaltet - linke Seite liegt innen (7.) und an den vorderen, sowie hinteren Saum und an den Ärmelabschluss (8.) -
rechts auf rechts - genäht (9.).

This strips I folded together - left side is inside (7) and pinned them on the front, back and sleeves seams (8) - right side to right side - and sewed it with my serger (9).

Nun wird das ganze umgeschlagen und die Breite des weissen Saumes festgelegt. Ich möchte gerne nur einen schmalen, weissen Streifen haben. Diesen habe ich so fest gesteckt und mit einem dreifach Zickzackstich angenäht (10.) Anschliessend wird die Seiten- und Ärmelnaht in einem Rutsch geschlossen (11.). Die Seitennaht wird in das Rückenteil geklappt und von der Naht bis zum Saum mit einer Stütznaht fest genäht (12.).

Now, I handled the seam and determined the width of the white jersey. I like just a small white strip. I pinned it and sewed with an triple zigzag stitch (10). I closed the side and sleeves of the reel (11) The stitching I turned onto the back and made a small stitching for stabilization (12).

Am Schluss kommt noch der Halsausschnitt dran. Ich nähe den Halsstreifen zu einem Ring zusammen, lege ihn in die Hälfte und stecke ihn an den Halsausschnitt. Dabei dehne ich am Rückenteil nicht, so ist der Halsstreifen vorne enger. Dabei liegt das Halsbündchen vorne schön am Hals an. Die Nummern 13 und 14 zeigen wie ich das Halsbündchen fest stecke. Die Naht trifft dabei immer auf die linke Schulternaht. Bevor ich mich an die Ovi setze, schmeisse ich noch das Bügeleisen an. Nach dem Nähen des Halsausschnittes, wird die Nahtzugabe in das Shirt geklappt und mit dem dreifach Zickzackstich umnäht (15.). Nun haben wir einen sauberen und schönen Halsausschnitt! Und nun ab unter das Bügeleisen. Das Shirt und vor allem die Säume werden nun gut ausgebügelt. Bei der Gelegenheit kommt auch noch eine Velourskatze drauf und rundet so das Bild ab.

Finally there is the neck to do. I closed the strip for the neck to a ring and pinned it on the neckline. This ring I folded in half and pined it to the neckline. Also I took care not to widen the neckline in the back, so I have a smaller piece on the front. On the front I extended a bit on the length. So it lies beautifully on the neck at the front. The numbers 13 und 14 show you how I pinned the neckline. The seam from the neckline came face to face with the seam of the left shoulder. Before I went to the serger I throw on the iron. After sewing the neckline, I turned the seam into the shirt and sewed with a triple zigzag stitch (15) Now I've got a clean and beautiful neckline! Under the iron with the shirt! The shirt and especially the seams are ironed well. And on this occasion I ironed the velours cat on it and to complete the picture.

Leider an der Damenbüste geknippst, aber ich denke man kann es erkennen.
